At BRICKS 4 KIDZ, we refuse to let the kids be the victims at this difficult time. The kids have handled the disruptions magnificently but we are also here to help teachers provide continuity to student’s education, and inject some much needed fun!
Our new Online School Incursion Classes allow teachers and students to continue to meet learning objectives while inspiring the students to fire up their IMAGINATION and get CODING and DIGITAL DESIGNING.
Students will follow along with a live stream from a fully trained Bricks 4 Kidz instructors using your choice of platform such as Webex, Google Teams, Google Meets and Zoom.

STEAM PROGRAMS
LEGO Design Workshops – Years 3 – 6
Our Virtual Classroom offering Bricks 4 Kidz curriculum uses a virtual desktop application that allows users to build models using virtual parts by following along with the instructor.
Students will construct the project of the day in our virtual builder and later have the freedom to make the changes in their own build (including changing colours and adding additional parts and pieces to change the original design).
Participating in this virtual class will also give students a better understanding of how to work with studio design software such as Auto Cad and, will provide exposure to 3D printing as well.

Grades F - 2 - Creative Coding with Scratch Jr.
Scratch Jr. is the ideal entry level programming app that was designed specifically for younger children because of its ease of use, but also its capabilities such as allowing kids to design, create and express themselves through self-made interactive stories and games.
Set up like building blocks, children can make characters move, sing, dance and jump as well as create their own customised characters complete with their own faces.

Grades 3 - 6 - Video Game Coding with Scratch 3.0
SCRATCH 3.0
Students will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills as they create fun apps and games. Designers will think creatively and reason systematically.
Each workshop progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the design software. Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed app or game.

INCURSION OPTIONS
OPTION 1
Duration: Single 45 – 90 min incursion.

OPTION 2
Duration: Weekly 45 – 60 min incursions over a 3 – 6 week period.
Suited to a longer unit of study and consolidating students understanding of Digital Technologies and Science concepts.

Here’s how our virtual Online Classes work!
Instructors:
Our instructors will host the session like one of our regular school classes and students will be able to communicate any issues they’re having in real time.
System Requirements:
Students will need to have access to a device with the software downloaded:
- Windows 10 version and above – LEGO Designer
- Ipad or Android Tablet – Scratch Jr
- Windows 10 versions and above – Scratch 3.0
- Internet Connection

Any further resources, links to software or instructions will be emailed prior to the class so ensure all students are ready on the day.
