School Holiday Workshops FAQs
What happens at the Workshops?
Children will work in small groups and rotate between stations containing different types of LEGO® builds or challenges. Our Program includes opportunities for children to work with LEGO® motors, gears and axles and scheduled time for creative free-play. We have breaks outdoors for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and let off some energy with some active team games & challenges.
What ages are our Workshops suited for?
Our Workshops are suitable for children from ages 5 and up. We have a recommended age for each workshop as some workshops more suitable for older kids. If in doubt, please give us a call to discuss.
How big are the classes?
We limit our Workshops to 24 kids unless otherwise stated.
How many staff will there be? Will they have a Blue Card?
Our staff ratio is usually 1 to 8-10 kids. While our activities with LEGO® bricks are safe, child safety is a high priority for us. At least one staff member at every workshop will have a valid First Aid certificate. All staff hold valid Blue Cards. We always establish our BRICKS 4 KIDZ Workshop rules with the children from the start.
What should my child bring?
For full day workshops, please pack some morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea. For half day workshops, please pack either morning or afternoon tea. A hat and drink bottle will also be needed for our breaks outside.
Do the children get to take the LEGO® bricks home?
Children do not take the LEGO® bricks home. However, all children will receive a special BRICKS 4 KIDZ gift at the end of each workshop. Children may also take home craft items which they make during the workshop.
Can I get a better price?
We always offer Early Bird specials and discounts to those who have subscribed to our mailing list. For group bookings, please give us a call to discuss.
What if my child can't make the Workshop?
If your child is visibly sick or carrying a high temperature on the day of the class, please keep your child at home! We will make up the workshop at the next opportunity. Make up classes & transfers for other reasons will be accommodated as long as there is room in the class.
What is your cancellation policy?
We are happy to accommodate a transfer or a credit for a future workshops if you have to cancel a booking. However, if a refund is requried, please make note of our cancellation policy: • Cancellations made at least THREE weeks from the start date of the school holiday workshop will receive an 80% refund. • Cancellations made TWO to THREE weeks from the start date of the workshop will receive a 50% refund. • There are no refunds for workshops cancelled LESS than TWO weeks prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.
