School holidays

Hello loyal fans and followers 🙂

The school holidays are approaching and preparations are underway for all the exciting workshops that we are hosting. There are lots of themes to choose from and since a lot of you are signed up for more than one session we want to make sure that all the workshops are not only fun but also different because if they are not,  kids will not think twice to let me know immediately if something is not up to their standards! 😀 My little fans are not only gorgeous but also very harsh critics, just the way I like them, they keep me on my toes!

On 14th of May I travelled with my family to Sydney for my graduation. I received my post-graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. As soon as I got back I got in contact with my friend who works at TAFE and explained to her how Bricks 4 Kidz can benefit her students in learning English. Even though her students are adults I think we can all benefit of building with Lego bricks. By building our models, the EAL students with get to have some fun, de-stress, make some cool Lego builds and experience language learning in a hands-on environment. Age should never be a barrier! So that is another event that I am very much looking forward to hosting in term 3.

This week  I am also updating my First Aid certificate, so rest assured that your kids are left in the care of people with current training and knowledge of CPR, educational curriculum and Top 100 Hits in Music 😆

I have also had the lovely Rebecca coming to our after-school enrichment classes. She is currently my assistant and learning the ropes of becoming a Bricks 4 Kidz instructor so hopefully we’ll see more of her in all of our classes.

Until next time,

Ilka 😀
