How can I update my NDIS Care Plan to allow me to access funding for Bricks4Kidz workshops & activities?

Check your NDIS care plan to see if it has any goals relating to:

• Developing fine motor skills
• Developing social skills
• Developing group or team working skills

If your current care plan does not include any of the above and you believe these these goals would be beneficial to include, simply have them included when you next revise your plan.  Feel free to speak to our team for any further info!

How do workshops and other activities benefit children with autism and other special needs?

BRICKS 4 KIDZ^® workshops and events can be paid for with NDIS funds if your care plan allows for it.

It’s no secret Lego^® has been recognised for a long time now as an especially therapeutic and educational aid for kidz with autism and other conditions that may affect learning or limit social capabilities.

Research shows that spending time creating and building physical objects stimulates young minds and has numerous benfits including:

• building fine motor functions
• problem solving abilities
• improving concentration
• an escape from stress and anxiety

Our Lego based workshops and after school programs provide an excellent way to obtain these benefits in a safe, fun environment.  Our workshops and courses are deisgned to enhannce these benefits further by providing:

• an environment that promotes interaction with other attendees
• group interaction to solve problems
• trained instructors to teach STEM concepts such as forces, structure design, gearing ratios
