Junior Robotic 101 & 201

How would you like to turn your next LEGO® creation into a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do?  The Junior Robotics 101 workshop offers all the fun of building with LEGO® Bricks PLUS the challenge of software coding!

Using drag-and-drop icon-based LEGO® WeDo® software, the workshop provides an introduction into the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based marketplace. This fun, action-packed one day workshop combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!

After the success of our Junior Robotics 101 workshop we now have Junior Robotics 201!

With new and exciting models to build and program, we will be introducing sensors to extend and challenge in this exciting workshop. This is sure to please any young budding programmer!

All kids get to take home their very own BRICKTASTIC gift at the end of the workshop!

Ages 7+

ONE DAY WORKSHOPS 

Bat-Bricks Bash (inspired by Batman™)

Tuesday 8 October  ✷  9am – 4pm

Enter the dark city where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers! The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl’s sleek motorcycle. But keep the bat light searching for the evil jokester’s motorized low rider vehicle cruising through the city streets as well. Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super sidekick. Campers will use their imaginations, building skills and crime-fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains!

All kids get to take home their very own BRICKTASTIC gift at the end of the workshop!

Race with Mario

Tuesday 8 October  ✷  9am – 4pm

Jump into the world of  arcade and video games in this SUPER FUN workshop (completely screen-free!). Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, avoid getting destroyed by enemies….

There are so many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat! Kids will build the famous plumber brothers, a Brick Eater, a jumping hedgehog, alien invaders, angry birds, and so much more! Can you guess which game each model represents? Super fun for boys and girls.

Kung Fu Panda Brick Legends

Friday 11 October  ✷  9am – 4pm

$115

Join us and unleash the inner warrior within! Embark on an epic journey inspired by the legendary tales of Kung Fu Panda! Join Po and his friends for a one-day adventure filled with excitement and challenges. Just like in the movies, you’ll navigate through obstacles, master martial arts moves, and collect coins on your quest to become the Dragon Warrior!

Using LEGO® bricks, kids will recreate the awe-inspiring world of Kung Fu Panda, crafting their own adventures alongside Po and the Furious Five. It’s a journey of bravery, friendship, and self-discovery!

All kids get to take home their very own BRICKTASTIC gift at the end of the workshop!

Common Questions about our Programs

How old does my child need to be?

As noted above, children are welcome at our workshops from as young as 5, however all kids attending must be in kindergarten in primary school at least in order to attend.

What is your Cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least THREE weeks from the start date of the school holiday workshop will receive an 80% refund. Cancellations made TWO to THREE weeks from the start date of the workshop will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for workshops cancelled LESS than TWO weeks prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.

How many children are attending?

At Pymble Uniting Church, our popular workshops are capped at 24 children!

What is your policy on Missed Workshops?
  • If your child is visibly sick or carrying a high temperature on the day of the class, please keep your child at home! We will make up the class at the next opportunity.

  • Make up classes & transfers for other reasons will be accommodated as long as there is room in the class.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to low registration.
  • Space is limited, so please enrol your child today.
What should my child bring?

Please note that food is not provided. Please provide a nut-free snack for your child to enjoy during every day of the workshop. If staying for the full day children will need to bring their own nut-free lunch. Please make sure your child wears covered shoes, sunscreen and brings a hat! We will supervise them in the park outside at breaks.

While activities in BRICKS 4 KIDZ® workshops with LEGO® Bricks are very safe, we place a very high focus on child welfare – at least one staff member at every one of our activities will have a valid First Aid certificate!

How do I make payment?

Payment is made using a credit card online through our secure payment gateway. Your child’s place is confirmed when payment is made. All transactions are processed in Australian dollars (AUD).
