Forces of Nature
Fasten your seatbelts; we’re in for some wild weather! This unit is all about the amazing and powerful forces of nature, as students explore the when, where, how and why of all kinds of natural phenomenon. There is a lot of geography in this unit — we’ll examine a map of the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where most tsunamis occur, view a diagram of the tectonic plates and learn how their movement creates earthquakes, define the area known as “Tornado Alley” in North America, and find out what hurricanes are called in different parts of the world.
Ages 5+
Every TUESDAY starting 17 Oct 2023 to 5 Dec 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (suitable for Homeschool students).

Forces of Nature WeDo 2.0 Junior Robotics
BRICKS 4 KIDZ® is thrilled to be offering thrilled to be offering Forces of Nature combined with WEDO® 2.0 Software Programming. This program is an excellent introduction to basic concepts of robotics and computer programming.

Fun with Science MINDSTORMS® EV3 Advanced Robotics
Have you ever dreamed of being a scientist when you grow up? Start your scientific practice now with the BRICKS 4 KIDZ® “Fun with Science” EV3 Robotics unit! In this unit, young scientists will build a variety of robotics models using the LEGO® EV3 building elements and programming software. Build scientific measurement instruments including a Digital Calliper and a Rolling Ruler. Follow the Scientific Method to test out awesome models such as a launching Trebuchet or Wind Turbine. This unit proves that science really is fun!
Ages 9+
Every TUESDAY starting 17 Oct 2023 to 5 Dec 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am (suitable for Homeschool students).

Come and join in all the fun of our BRICKS 4 KIDZ® After School Workshops with LEGO®! The one hour After School Workshops explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts as kids build motorised models using LEGO® Bricks.
Core STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) content are integrated into all our programs. During each session, we incorporate our philosophy – We Learn! We Build! We Play!
With the introduction of Junior Robotics using WEDO® 2.0 and Advanced Robotics using MINDSTORMS® EV3, students will learn basic concepts of robotics and computer programming as well.
Important Notes
Keeping Kids, Families and Staff Safe
The health and well-being of our BRICKS 4 KIDZ® community is our priority. We want to assure you that we have maintained our thorough cleaning regimen to keep all kids and staff safe. Here’s how we tackle that problem:
- Providing hand sanitiser to kids and staff when they start all our programs (we have plenty of hand sanitiser
); - Regularly washing all our equipment using antiseptic and washing machines; and
- Consistently using disinfectant spray on all our equipment.
Trial Session
Subject to availability. Please contact us for a trial session.
- Forces of Nature (Ages 5+) is $30 for a trial session.
- Forces of Nature WeDo 2.0 Junior Robotics (Ages 7+) is $35 for a trial session.
- Fun with Science MINDSTORMS® EV3 Advanced Robotics (Ages 9+) is $40 for a trial session.
Cancellations
- Cancellations made at least THREE weeks from the start date of the class will receive an 80% refund.
- Cancellations made TWO to THREE weeks from the start date of the class will receive a 50% refund.
- There will be NO REFUND for any cancellations made LESS than TWO weeks from the start date of the class.
- BRICKS 4 KIDZ® reserves the right to cancel a class due to low registration. Where this occurs, students may opt for another class if places are available OR receive a full refund.
Missed Classes
- Unfortunately, due to the nature of the program, we cannot provide a refund or credit for missed classes. However, your child can attend a replacement class in a different venue provided there is available space.
Payment
- All fees quoted are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer or using credit cards online through our secure payment gateway.
- Full payment should be made at the time of enrolment to confirm your child’s placement.
