Hornless goats and other excellent LEGO® creations, powered by imagination!

LEGO® Imagination Ad | Artwork by Blattner Brunner | BRICKS 4 KIDZ® SydneyRight now, the cool thing with LEGO® is to go “freestyle” – pick up a bunch of bricks and just build something! Use your imagination rather than slavishly following the instructions. LEGO® themselves deserve some of the credit for the freestyle creativity, with the excellent messages from the LEGO Movie (which you should see, if you haven’t!).

Kids find freestyle LEGO® easy. The other day, I sat down with one of our little girls and we started to build a farm set with animals. We ended up with a horse, cow, goats, frog and a duck, with a little yard for them to play in, along with a farmhouse. To me, the animals looked a bit sketchy! The goats for example didn’t even have horns. But to my little girl, none of that mattered – for her, these LEGO® farmyard animals were *real*.

That imaginative spirit is captured in these brilliant LEGO® ads, showcased in a great post by Twisted Sifter. There are ads from around the world, with the same theme – given a set of bricks big enough, you can create the world.

Recently we announced details of our upcoming programs for the Sydney school holidays – a mix of one day, two day and five consecutive half day vacation programs in July 2014, located in Willoughby. Themes include Mining and Crafting, Ticket To Ride, Space Adventures and the World of Super Heroes.  Send your little master builder onto the program and let their own imagination run wild 😎 . The programs are filling quickly so be sure to book your spot soon!

Here’s another of the LEGO® ads – do you recognise these characters?  More examples on that Twister Sifter post – check it out, and happy building!
