The BEST part of this year's Oscars – now build one yourself!

The live performance of the LEGO Movie’s hit song “Everything is AWESOME!” was one of the highlights of the annual awards night!  If you missed it, check this out:

At the end of the performance, a bunch of the nominees received a super-cool Oscars statuette made of LEGO® Bricks, like this one:

BRICKS 4 KIDZ Sydney | Academy Award from LEGO® Bricks

Each statuette was made by LEGO-artist Nathan Sawaya and took 500 bricks to make. Sneakily, each of the statuettes was kraggled together to make sure it didn’t break apart! (fans of the LEGO Movie will know exactly what I mean 😉 ).

So – who watched that performance and thought they’d like one of their own to put on their mantlepiece?  Well, now you can!  Use this link to download your copy of the instructions to make your very own statuette.

Unfortunately we can’t help you with preparing your acceptance speech – however based on the speeches we saw, it looked like quite a few of the winners should have some some assistance themselves, so you’ll be in good company!

Keep building Sydney, onwards and upwards!
