Week 1 Intro to Coding
An Introduction to visual based coding where kidz learn how to overcome practical challenges and automate their creations using the power of coding. The session is a good fun way to go on and complete our awesomely fun Junior Robotics series of Workshops.
Week 2 Renewable Energy
Learn about the various forms of renewable energy and build models of windmills, rotating solar panel arrays and water wheels.
Week 3 Forces & Structures – Bridges
Want to be a Lego master builder? Take the challenge to build a variety of bridge designs then test your design in our weight test competition!
Week 4 Transportation
Discuss the history of various forms of transport, including the world famous Adelaide OBahn then build planes, helicopters, automobiles and more!
Week 5 Forces & Structure – Tallest Tower
Kidz take a tour of the world’s tallest towers from around the world and discuss their history and construction. Then armed with some construction tips from our expert engineers the kidz are challenged to build the tallest towers standing 2 kidz tall!
Week 6 Biology & Science – Dinomania
Discuss their habitats, how we study fossils, dinosaur-era plants, build their favourite dinosaurs and finally construct a giant Duplo habitat including trees and volcanoes!
Week 7 Brick City Train – How they changed the world!
Since its invention in the early 1800 trains have unified countries, created great fortunes, revolutionized life in every place they ran. Kidz will get learn to build a train then race their engineering mini marvels on our giant train track. Do we really need an excuse to pull out our giant train set?
Week 8 Laws of Motion – Super Mario Karting
Want to be a Lego master builder? Take the challenge to build a motorised kart, add your own customisations and then test your creations in our Grand Prix!
Summary
Using drag-and-drop icon-based LEGO® WeDo® software. Students explore the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based world. These fun, action-packed workshop series teaches real-life skills while delivering real-kid fun!
