Kids love a birthday party, but they can leave you with a lot of mess and a lot of stress. Kids will be kids but there are some things you can do to minimise the stress of organising and hosting a children’s birthday party. Here are our top tips:
Stick to a reasonable guest list
You don’t have to invite the whole class. Stick to the children your child knows best and maybe the ones you know best. Deciding on a guest list will make the rest of the party planning easier, including thinking about where to have the party.
Pick a date and let people know well in advance
Families are busy, and they have busy schedules, especially if their children take part in sports and other activities. Family holidays are another consideration, so be aware that if your child’s birthday falls around a half-term holiday or the summer holidays, their friends won’t necessarily be able to attend. Try to give a month’s notice of the date if possible to allow people to plan.
Choose a party venue
Are you happy to accept that you’ll have to deal with the mess of a party at home? A venue will set up for you and clean up the mess, though booking a venue will nearly always be more expensive. However, if you hire a children’s entertainer or a bouncy castle, the difference in cost might be negligible. Set a budget, then contact a handful of outside venues for prices then compare.
Think about a theme
Themed parties are fun for children. It gets their imagination going if they get to dress up as their favourite Disney princess or Superhero. Once you have a theme, you can organise the birthday cake, decorations and goodie bags to match.
Plan for an easy clean up
Use disposable plates, cups, decorations, and table cloths so when the party is over, you can wrap everything up in the table cloth and bin it.
Enlist some help
To make sure that you enjoy the party too (at least a little!) enlist a helper, such as a good friend, partner, or other family member who can help to prepare food or supervise party games.

The Deluxe Party (1.5 hours)
There’ll be a Bricks 4 Kidz® Party Host, the kids will get to play with our Lego bricks bags and we’ll help them build a motorised model. There’ll be plenty of party games to keep them occupied too. The birthday boy or girl will receive a Bricks 4 Kidz T-shirt and before the party, we’ll provide you with some themed invitations to give to your guests. For a few extra pounds, every child will get to take home their own custom-built mini-figure. The cost of this package varies depending on the number of children:

The Premiere Party (1.5 hours)
This package includes everything from the Deluxe Party Package plus a custom-built mini-figure, party bags packed with sweets, a B4K temporary tattoo, stickers, a pencil, an eraser, and a B4K coupon. Here’s the price for this package:

The Workz (2 hours)
This package includes everything from the Deluxe & Premiere Party Packages as well as an 8″ LEGO® brick shaped birthday cake in the colour of your choice plus a Make and Take mini model for each party guest. Here’s the price for all of this:

We’ll come to your party and build a model with the children for an hour. They can either work on their own or with friends. For an extra few $5 they can also take home their own custom-made Lego Mini-figure.

We are a mobile business, so we can either come to your home or a location you have hired. The prices quoted are for parties within 25 Km of Sprimgfield. If you live further away than this, a premium is payable for additional travel.
How to book an amazing Bricks 4 Kidz birthday party
To secure the date of your choice, a non-refundable deposit of $150 is payable on booking, then the balance should be paid prior to the party or on the day. Our party host will arrive 30 minutes prior to the party start time to set up.
